SVHS Stars of the Week Feb. 22

Here are the following students of the week and the teacher by whom they were nominated:

Mr. Able:

Mrs. Anderson: Annika Schneider and Jacob Johannsen for making into the KMEA All-State Honor Choir!

Mr. Bellah: My Wellness and weights class for going the extra mile in their workouts.

Mr. Biegert: Emily Wolf, Becky Johnson, and John Holmquist for placing at BPA State in Wichita!!!

Ms. Hinman: Ian Lemon for helping others with math.

Mrs. Coney:

Mrs. Denk: Amy Janzen and Jessica Smith for their great efforts to organize our REACH retreat last week! You girls rock!

Mrs. Elliot:Kendra Nimmo for all of her extra efforts in KAY and in class....get the cake done already, Kendra!!!

Mr. Ferguson: Karissa Shultis

Mr. Henderson: Justin Graves-for always giving his best effort.

Mr. Hildebrand:Brianna Alexander and Bayle Best for being big K-State fans and cool people. Coincidence? Probably not.

Mr. Knopp: Sara Anderson and Grace Aspenwall for being selected for the KMEA All-State Band.

Mrs. Krehbiel: Koltin Howard-Talbott from coming home from the math competition with 175 pencils :-) (And making us all smile)

Mrs. Lindshield: Bryanna Wishcop for being a reliable and very helpful student aide

Ms. Lysell: Karissa Shultis- for being such a fabulous all around person and for being kind to every single person she comes across!

Mr. McClure: Alex Marculescu for thinking before speaking more in class.

Mr. Miller: Gabrielle Smith for her awesome lathe work on her paper towel holder.

Mr. Nelson: Tyler Fritz for doing well on his make up test last week.

Mrs. Oleen: Tasha Evilsizer for outstanding preparation for a chemistry test!

Mrs. Otero: Michael Montgomery for working so hard lately & keeping a good attitude.

Mrs. Wentz: The 8 NHSers who went to Bethany Home last Thursday and brightened the lives of the residents with whom they visited--way to go!

Mr. VanRanken: Zach Weis for his diligence this past weekend in learning his polyatomic ions! Way to go Zach!
